Ok bowling was fun and I saw my father score a 172 at his age and that was super cool. But it was not great for my last week before training. Against my better judgement, I did it anyway and now I am feeling the pain in my left knee -- yikes! But I am hopeful that it will not affect me too much. Still it kinda sucks to train that much and do something this stupid in the last week.
I spoke to my friend Lee today about the race and honestly if I had not made it very public my intentions on doing the race, then I would just not go. But alas (and it has forced me to get my butt into gear and make my mind right) to do it just the same ~ with or without my "bowling" knee. I can leave that behind me at mile 1. But still it would be far too easy to give into the mind that wants me to sit around my house this weekend relaxing in the backyard. Hummm... that would be wonderful. Lets do that next weekend.
So be it is final I have two days left and I am walking on pins and needles. And my knee better get it self together because I cant leave it at mile 1. Opps, that just not apart of my plan.
My plan is to finish 12 hours and how many miles that is? We shall see.
